According to @Bet365 on Twitter, the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor money fight has crushed the previous pay-per-view record set by Manny Pacquiao and Mayweather.

6.5 million buys is incredible, considering the report earlier this week that stated an estimated 2.9 million viewers illegally streamed the fight.

Dana White first made the claim here, regarding the PPV numbers.

If these numbers hold true, it’ll be a crushing blow to Oscar De La Hoya who openly petitioned to fight fans to boycott the May-Mac fight.

De La Hoya is hoping to cash in on some of those buys for Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin bout which takes place on Saturday, September 16, 2017.
